Sometimes it’s not easy being the younger brother, but Luigi seemed to find great success at it. He stood out in his green hat and blue overalls—plus he was a bit taller than Mario. So anyway, he made his mark with his own distinct personality, which was not at feisty as his older brother. Although they’re distinct in many ways, we’d say they made a pretty good team…a Dream Team. Imagine if Mario and Luigi went into the mushroom farming business all those years ago? We’re glad they didn’t, because we wouldn’t have all of the great versions of the Mario video games.
It wasn’t until after his career as a loyal sidekick to his brother, that Luigi, went on to start several successful businesses after they had wrapped things up in the mushroom kingdom. Luigi went on to open a bakery and a paper supply wholesale business—both of which were very successful. (We're snickering here.) Who would've thought that he would explore the entrepreneurial world after plumbing and smashing Koopas?
