Fiery Attitude
Practicing martial arts is definitely one of the funnest things to help you stay in shape. Punching and kicking makes you feel like you are powerful and confident, even as you make your body more fit and increase your cardiovascular health. Zuko always finds time to practice, whether he is on his ship hunting the Avatar, or riding around in the wilds hunting the Avatar, or even hanging out in Ba Sing Se hunting the Avatar!
To be fair though, that dedication is a lot easier to imagine when you have been exiled from your home by your father for not being powerful enough. He also has the benefit of the greatest fire-bender in the world as a teacher, and even gets personal tutelage from dragons! Practice may make perfect, but starting out with a leg up like he does sure makes the journey a little easier!
