Fit is accurate and the outfit is comfortable to wear with good ease of movement. The back of the bodice is made of stretch fabric and there is a partially elasticated waist for ease of fit. There is a nice full tulle underskirt to provide shape, as well as an inner lining that runs the full length of the skirt. So no scratchy tulle against your skin!
I would recommend to prospective buyers to check the enlarged version of the photo of the costume and zoom in, particularly around the skirt hem and blouse collar. Buyers would need to be okay with the fact that the skirt is unhemmed (exposed overlock stitching) and the edges of the collar and back enclosure have exposed overlock stitching. The rear enclosure is comprised of three discrete patches of hook and loop (Velcro) along the back opening.
The waist is partially elasticated at the rear of the dress, but the piece of elastic has been sewn in ABOVE the gathered rear waist seam, which makes the back of the dress look a bit puckery and weird. You could theoretically cover this with the apron strings, but I personally will be removing the waist elastic, hemming the skirt, inserting a zipper enclosure and covering the exposed collar seams with ribbons.
Points for fast postage to Australia from the USA and detailed tracking info via UPS, but in terms of the product I expected better from a licensed costume.Was this review helpful to you?
